The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) joined the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) on 16th June 2023 during the 6th Edition of Kuza Broadcasting Awards 2023 (6th Edition), led by Director General Mr. Ezra Chiloba.
The star-studded event themed “Shaping the Future of Broadcasting: Toward A Creative Economy” brought together various stakeholders from the media and creative community. Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports Hon. Ababu Namwamba was the Chief Guest.
Winners of the 6th Edition of Kuza Broadcasting Awards 2023 with CS Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports Hon. Ababu Namwamba and CA Director General, Ezra Chiloba.
This year’s event saw more than 40 awardees, with the categories comprising of Regulatory Award; Innovation (Ubunifu) Award and People’s Choice Award.
"I have no doubt that Kenya is the next big thing in the creative space in this continent of Africa,” he said.

His words were reiterated by CA Director General, Ezra Chiloba who expressed his confidence in Kenya's creative economy."Tonight,we celebrate excellence in broadcasting, experience a night of glitz & glamour as we shape the future of broadcasting towards the creative economy," said Mr. Chiloba.
Former Communications Authority Director General, The Late Mr. Francis W. Wangusi, MBS was posthumously honored with the Gold Award-Lifetime Achievement for the impact he created during his tenure.
The NCIC was represented by Principal Corporate Communications Officer Ms. Rosemary Were, alongside other Commission officials.
