James Ratego Wanyande is an advocate based in Kenya, with a strong professional focus on cyber law, good governance, and human rights. He currently serves as the Head of Investigations and Compliance at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), where he has contributed significantly for nearly 15 years. In this capacity, he leads efforts to promote national cohesion and address hate speech, ethnic discrimination, and incitement to violence.
A member of the Law Society of Kenya, James brings both legal expertise and a deep commitment to social justice and institutional accountability. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Nairobi, a Post graduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law, a Certificate in Legislative Drafting from the University of London and a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom
