Mr. Harrison Kariukiis the Director of Corporate Services. He is a seasoned Public Finance Expert with over 16 years of work experience in public and private sector finance and Audit. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Leicester, UK, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Certificate of Public Accounting qualification from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). Harrison also has vast experience in the fields of Public Finance Management, Agribusiness, Business Process Outsourcing, Audit, Finance Management and Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Management. Prior to joining PKF, Harrison worked as a PFM specialist with the World Bank program - Institutional Development & Capacity Building and the World Bank program –Core Fiduciary Program in the same capacity.
His range of experience has been attained through various consulting related assignments which includes; Provision of External Audit services to the Office of the Auditor General for the period 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2018-2019, Provision of audit services for Eurobond proceeds to the National Treasury, Provision of Project Service Level Monitoring for the Ministry of Health Managed Equipment Services Programme, Trust Fund Management for JamboPay Trust and Telkom Kenya Mobile Financial Service - T-Kash, Independent Verification Agent for GMG Facility Grant Program, Feasibility Study for Development ofUniversity Hostels through Public Private Partnerships, Micro assessment of 36 current or potential implementing partners using HACT framework for UNDP (Somalia), risk assessment and internal audit services for KSC International, Provision of Internal Audit services to East African Grain Council and Provision of expenditure verification to the African Union (Ethiopia) just to mention a few.
Jescah Otieno is the Deputy Director of Research at the National Cohesion and Integration Commission. She is a research and communications scientist with over 12 years’ experience of offering top-notch abilities in conducting research and working with research tools in evaluating and analysing data. Possessing a keen eye for detail and a passion for uncovering hidden patterns, Otieno excels at transforming complex data into clear and compelling narratives and has authored numerous publications, articles and reports. Her expertise spans a wide range of domains including peacebuilding, conflict resolution and communication. Beyond technical proficiency, Otieno is a skilled communicator who effectively presents complex findings to diverse audiences. She was appointed Global Peace Ambassador in 2023 by the Institute for Economics and Peace, USA. She is an African Civic Engagement Academy 2021 fellow from the University of Georgia USA, and holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Studies from Moi University, Kenya.
Caroline Gateru is the Deputy Director Human Resource and Administration in the Commission. She has extensive experience in the field of HR having worked for over 15 years in the public sector. Caroline is industrious, thorough and meticulous in her work, this has enabled her built a successful career in HR. She has championed the development and review of HR Policy documents including the HR manual, organizational structure and establishment, code of conduct, career progression, service charter, performance management and rewards policy among others. She is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP). In addition to this she holds a Masters degree in Human Resource Management, a Bachelors Degree in Education, a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM and a Diploma in IT. She is a full member of the Institute of Human Resource Management in Kenya. She is currently finalizing her Doctorate in HRM.
Mr. Kilian Nyambu is the Deputy Director Public Education and Engagement. He holds a Master of Education (M.Ed) in Educational Administration and Planning as well as Bachelor of Education (Arts) degree from the University of Nairobi. Mr. Nyambu has over 20 years of experience in working with the public sector. Before joining the Commission, Mr. Nyambu worked for the Ministries of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs as well as Youth and Sports as an Assistant Director, in charge of National Cohesion and Youth Training respectively. He has also served as a teacher, Head of Department and Deputy Principal in a number of secondary schools in Kenya. Mr. Nyambu has multiple certificates in various management programmes from different training institutions including the Kenya School of Administration. He also serves in several committees and secondary school boards of Management.
